Community Health Care - Louisville

I was a patient in this office for many years until it became apparent that they care more about their convenience than your health. They wrote me a prescription for a medication then refused to complete a pre-authorization form as necessary for my insurance coverage. I found a new doctor who gladly completed the form and I got my medication and it was covered by my insurance. Save yourself a headache and call a different medical office if you are looking for a provider.

I was attempting to be a new patient just because I wanted a more local doctor. I had to wait two months for an appointment no big deal but then they called and had to reschedule it out another month and a half again still not a huge issue. I received no reminders for the appointments, no big deal again it’s my responsibility to know my appointments. I called the day before confirming my apt time as I told her I thought it was at 8:30 and she stated no it’s at 9 but “ IF YOU CAN BE HERE A LITTLE EARLIER FOR PAPERWORK ABOUT 15 minutes or so that would be great” KEY WORD IF! I got there about 5 -10 minutes before my apt not knowing it was a REQUIREMENT to be there earlier. They refused to see me and said I would need to reschedule, if it’s required to be there before your scheduled appointment then the scheduled appointment Needs to be clear to be there 15 minutes earlier. Needless to say I won’t be a new patient here nor will my household members that I was hoping to bring there as well . I truly just felt very disappointed and felt the staff was not very friendly.

Dr. Emily George & the entire staff are really great doctors who care about their patients! They will treat you like a person not a number! I really appreciate their compassion and patience with all the people they serve!!

Super thankful for Dr George. I don’t typically go to this location but Dr George is definitely my new doc! She listened to all of my concerns, helped to figure out what was going on, and was not dismissive at all. Super thankful for the whole process!

I love this doctors office. All of the doctors area really nice. I have seen Dr. Parrish since I was really little and also seen Alexa when Parrish was out. My only complaint is that it is so hard to call them. They have at least 2-4 girls in the front part of the office at all times and it's still really hard for them to answer the phone. I have to call at least 20 times in a row before they will answer and then put me on hold. They definitely need to get a better system for that and then i think this would be the greatest office ever. I will still go regardless of the busy phones because I love my doctors.
