Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services, Inc. (NEON) - East Cleveland Health Center

Today was the worst experience I ever had in my life far as healthcare. Started off at Collinwood location where everyone I spoke with was pleasant and quickly to take care of my needs.I was told to go see Edwina Simmons (OB/GYN)at the East Cleveland Location where I always go and everyone is always nice and pleasant. I love Dr. Coats. She’s always very professional. She may be a little slow, but she’s a good doctor. The young lady Bree walked me into the room and told me to get undressed from the waist down, so that’s what I did. 15 minutes later when Edwina Simmons came into the room, I complemented her on her hair. She asked me why was I there? She didn’t even understand why I’m here or why I’m undressed. She said open up your MyChart so I can see what’s going on. I politely told her I forgot my phone this morning so I can’t open up my chart. She said I don’t understand why you hear. We can’t see the information and they can’t see ours. Why didn’t you go see your doctor I never even seen you before, I don’t know why you here to see me rudely. She came off very rude and very unprofessional. I couldn’t believe it then she asked me with an rude attitude…are you having discharge or do you have an odor down there? I told her no that I’m having hip surgery tomorrow and I’m just taking all precautions because there was blood in my urine and I don’t know when I’ll be able to get back out the house. So finally, after she gave me a Pap smear, she still was talking with an attitude and had the audacity to say to me. I don’t mean to frustrate or upset you and I corrected her and said no you the one that seems frustrated and upset as if you got out of the bed on the wrong side of the today She said maybe I did and I apologize. By then it was too late for an apology after being so rude.

Web portal states free or low cost dental services depending on individual circumstances. When you ask the individual who answers the phone she acts completely clueless and when you repeat back to her exactly as she stated she again acts clueless 😂😂 . Do you NOT work at the address on this website? Are you NOT answering the phone at the number on the website? Like You work in the hood but legit dont have to act like it and that goes for every worker there!

This was the worst experience of my life. This was my first time being seen at this facility and I must say I have not been referred to as "the white lady" so many times in my life. These people at the front desk as well as the doctor that seen me was so rude and nasty it didn't make any sense. Id advise whoever has any kind of problems such as mine to call anybody and everyone including the state board on these people for being so un professional and nasty. I have been treated better at a soup kitchen versus here at this health center. I hope nobody ever has to go through what I went through today!

Spoke with Dr. Simmons today via phone. Very rude. I asked about portal and results not being posted after receiving them over the phone the day before she replies “ maybe it’s you” very condescending and not helpful

I had a appointment and sat for over 90 mins and then took me back to get weight and vital and sat some more, this is no way to treat your patients that are in need.
